A Typical ForHealth Medical Centre
Dental surgery
- Dentists see approximately 8-16 patients per day, who come either through our robust online booking system, walk-ins from the medical centre, internal and GP referrals
- 61 of the 62 centres are co-located within multidisciplinary ForHealth medical centres
- Centres are mostly 2-5 chair practices
- Dentists in the network are typically billing ~$325 per hour* (Based on dental billings over 12 months to September 2021)
Reception
- Our frontlines teams are at the core of our business – they manage customer enquiries, phone bookings and the day-to-day requirements of the centre
- Dentists at the centre are supported by our dental coordinators in partnership with skilled dental assistants, experienced dental state managers and a practice support team with extensive dental experience
Technology
- Centres are mostly fitted with 2-5 modern Kavo dental units with intra-oral cameras and monitors
- They have the necessary lab equipment, rotary endo and surgical implant equipment
- Modern facilities, dedicated OPG machines or access to digital radiography within the centre
- Digital scanners, CEREC units and RA units are also available to dentists in some centres
- We continue to invest in technology that support dentists with special interests, helping provide more treatment solutions to their patients
Sterilisation Room
- The sterilisation room is at the heart of our infection control protocol – typically fitted with stat-of-the-art autoclave units that are regularly maintained and serviced
- Designated clean and contaminated area
- Infection control remains are top priority – our staff are well-trained on industry best practices, supported by our robust infected control procedures which are regularly reviewed and updated
- Centre teams are further supported by the National Clinical Governance team
